After breakfast, visit the exquisite Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa Palace, summer residence of the last Emir, blending Oriental and European styles. Continue to the Chor-Bakr Necropolis, a vast burial complex resembling a “city of the dead.” After lunch, transfer to the station to board the Afrosiyob train to Samarkand, arriving by evening. Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before relaxing overnight in Samarkand.
After breakfast, begin with the stunning Gur Emir Mausoleum, tomb of Timur and his descendants. Walk through the world-renowned Registan Square with its three monumental madrasahs. Visit the vast Bibi-Khanum Mosque, then shop for spices and breads at Siab Bazaar. After lunch, explore the mosaic-lined Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and the Ulughbek Observatory, an early center of astronomical study. Before departure, tour a traditional carpet factory. Board the evening train back to Tashkent, enjoy dinner, and check into your hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive into the Chimgan Mountains. Take a scenic chair lift ride to enjoy panoramic alpine views, then descend to continue to Charvak Reservoir, a turquoise lake surrounded by forested hills. Enjoy a relaxed lunch at a lakeside restaurant and spend the afternoon strolling along the water, capturing photos, or enjoying optional activities.
