DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN COLOMBO – TRANSFER TO NEGOMBO

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet your Travel Comfort representative. Transfer to Negombo, a charming coastal town just 30 minutes away. After check-in and freshening up, embark on a sightseeing tour of Negombo, exploring the Dutch Canal, St. Mary’s Church, and the lively fish market. Stroll along the beach or relax at a seaside café before dinner. Overnight stay in Negombo, preparing to begin your Ramayana journey.

DAY 02: NEGOMBO – CHILAW – KANDY

After breakfast, drive to Chilaw to visit the sacred Munneswaram Temple, where Lord Rama prayed after his battle with Ravana. Continue to Manavari Temple, where he consecrated a Shiva Lingam. After lunch, proceed towards Kandy, stopping at the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to witness elephants bathing. Also visit a herbal garden in Kegalle before reaching Kandy. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance showcasing traditional Kandyan heritage. Overnight stay in Kandy.

DAY 03: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA

Post breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, home to orchids, giant bamboo, and rare plants. Then drive to Ramboda, stopping at the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, where Lord Hanuman is worshipped amidst the hills. Continue to Nuwara Eliya, the “Little England” of Sri Lanka. Visit a tea plantation and factory to learn the art of Ceylon tea, then enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, including Gregory Lake, colonial landmarks, and the Anglican Church. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 04: NUWARA ELIYA – RAMAYANA SITES EXCURSION

Today, embark on a full-day Ramayana trail exploration. Visit the Seetha Amman Temple and nearby Ashoka Vatika, believed to be where Sita was held captive. Continue to the Haggala Botanical Garden, part of this legendary landscape. In the afternoon, visit Divurumpola, where Sita is said to have undergone her Agni Pariksha (fire test). Conclude with a stop at Sri Lankatheeswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Return to Nuwara Eliya for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 05: NUWARA ELIYA – COLOMBO

After breakfast, depart for Colombo with a visit en route to the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple, the only temple where Lord Hanuman is depicted with five faces. Continue your journey and check in at your Colombo hotel. In the afternoon, visit the sacred Kelaniya Temple, said to be the coronation site of Vibhishana, Ravana’s brother. Later, enjoy a Colombo city tour covering Independence Square, Pettah Bazaar, Galle Face Green, and colonial Fort area. Overnight stay in Colombo.

DAY 06: DEPARTURE FROM COLOMBO

Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward flight. Depart Sri Lanka with memories of a spiritually enriching Ramayana Trail, blending mythology, history, and culture.
