Your journey begins in the morning from Guwahati with a convenient pickup from your hotel, residence, airport, railway station, or bus stand. Around 8:00 AM, start the drive towards Shillong (approximately 3 hours, 99 km). Enroute, make your first stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake around 10:00 AM, where you can enjoy a short break and photography. By 12:30 PM, reach Shillong and proceed to check into your hotel. After lunch, around 3:00 PM, visit Wards Lake for a peaceful stroll and boating, followed by Lady Hydari Park around 4:30 PM. Spend the evening at leisure exploring the local cafes or Police Bazaar before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast around 8:00 AM, proceed for a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee, known as the second wettest place on Earth (drive takes about 2 hours). Reach by 10:00 AM and visit the magnificent Seven Sisters Falls, followed by the Mawsmai Cave around 11:00 AM where you can enjoy a short cave walk. At noon, head to Thangkharang Park for panoramic valley views. After lunch, begin the return journey towards Shillong, and on the way stop at Elephant Falls around 3:30 PM and Shillong Peak around 4:30 PM for breathtaking views of the city. By 6:00 PM, return to your hotel in Shillong and relax overnight.
Post breakfast around 8:00 AM, start your scenic drive towards Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village, located about 3 hours away. Arrive around 11:00 AM and enjoy a leisurely village walk through bamboo houses, neat pathways, and gardens. Visit the Living Root Bridge by noon and spend some time appreciating this natural wonder. After lunch, drive another hour to Dawki to witness the crystal-clear Umngot River. If time permits, enjoy boating on the transparent waters between 2:30–4:00 PM. Begin your return journey and reach Shillong by evening around 6:30 PM. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
After breakfast, check out around 8:00 AM and drive back to Guwahati, reaching by 11:30 AM. After hotel check-in and lunch, begin your temple tour with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple around 2:00 PM, followed by Umananda Temple on Peacock Island (ferry ride required) around 4:00 PM. Later, visit the Balaji Temple around 5:30 PM. In the evening, you may enjoy an optional Brahmaputra River cruise from 6:00–7:00 PM to experience a magical sunset over the waters. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Guwahati.
Enjoy breakfast at 7:00 AM and check out by 7:30 AM to begin your long drive to Kaziranga (240 km, about 6 hours). Stop enroute for refreshments and lunch, arriving at your resort by 2:00 PM. After check-in, the rest of the afternoon is free to relax in the serene surroundings of Kaziranga National Park. You can take a nature walk nearby or simply unwind at the resort. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Rise early for an adventurous elephant ride through the park at 5:00 AM, lasting about an hour, giving you close encounters with the famous one-horned rhinoceros, deer, and wild buffaloes. Return to the resort for breakfast at 7:30 AM and rest until lunch. In the afternoon, around 2:00 PM, head out for a Jeep Safari in the Central Range of the park, which offers rich opportunities to spot elephants, tigers, swamp deer, and diverse birdlife. Return to your resort by evening for dinner and an overnight stay in Kaziranga.
After breakfast around 7:30 AM, drive to Kohima (240 km, about 7 hours). Enroute enjoy scenic landscapes, reaching by afternoon around 2:30 PM. After check-in and lunch, set out around 4:00 PM to visit Jakhama village where you can experience the Angami Naga tribal lifestyle and take a leisurely walk through the traditional settlement. Later, explore the Heritage Complex which hosts the Hornbill Festival each year. Return to your hotel by evening for overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast around 8:00 AM, check out and drive to Imphal (140 km, about 5 hours). Reach by noon and check into your hotel. After lunch, begin your city tour with a visit to Shri Govindajee Temple around 2:30 PM, followed by the Manipur State Museum. In the evening, stroll through Khwairamband Bazaar (also called Ima Market), a fascinating market run entirely by women. Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Imphal.
Post breakfast at 8:00 AM, visit the Zoological Garden followed by Khonghampat Orchidarium, which houses a wide collection of rare orchids. Around 11:00 AM, drive 45 km to Moirang, the ancient capital of Manipuri kings. Enroute, stop at Sadu Chiru waterfall and the Japanese War Memorial for glimpses of World War II history. By 1:00 PM, visit Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world’s only floating park, home to the endangered Sangai deer. Later, explore Loktak Lake and Sendra Island around 3:00 PM for mesmerizing views of the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India. Return to Imphal by evening for overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. The day is free for leisure and last-minute shopping around Imphal until your transfer to the airport, bus station, or railway station for your onward journey.
