Documents required

  • A valid Passport with more than two blank pages + old passport if any.
  • Copy of your form DS-160 confirmation.
  • Appointment / dropbox confirmation letter.
  • One photograph taken within the last 6 months (The photograph should be of size 2 x 2inches, color with white background, Taken looking straight forward and face seen clearly should be printed on good quality paper ).
  • Confirmed travel booking with details of Flight itinerary, Hotel booking.
  • Original bank statement (Personal & Company) of the last 06 months with bank seal in an A4 sheet. (The bank statement should be of an active account with a good fund transfer)
  • Latest Income Tax Return

Visa Categories

United States of America visa has been categorized into 4 based on the type of traveller.

  • Business (B-1)
    • Entrepreneurs, Business people, Investors visiting the US for trade, investment or Business reason.
  • Tourism / Medical (B-2)
    • Tourism, Visit with friends or relatives, medical treatment or Enrollment in a short recreational course of study, not for credit toward a degree.
    • Participation in social events hosted by fraternal, social, or service organizations
  • Transit Visa (C)
    • A foreign citizen travelling to another country who will have a brief layover in the United States of America when the only reason for entering the United States is to transit.
  • Ship Crewmember (D, C1/D)
    • Pilot or flight attendant on a commercial aeroplane.
    • Captain, engineer, or deckhand on a sea vessel.

    Supporting Documents as per your occupation or type of visit:

    • B1/B2 Visa
      • Covering letter from traveller stating the purpose of visit and day to day details and the same should be addressed to the Visa officer, Consulate-General of United States of America.
      • Covering letter from Travel Comfort, if the tour is organized by Travel Comfort.
    • C1/D Visa
      • Original Valid CDC – Continuous Discharge Certificate (Always carry old if any)
      • Ship Joining / Employment letter from the Shipping agency/company (In company letterhead) with below listed:- Name, Position, Salary, Date of Joining, Vessel of Joining, Place of Joining, Etc.. (Original Preferred).
      • Salary bank statement for the last six months.

    Other supporting financial document (advisable)

     
    • FD Receipts from banks
    • Public shares/debentures certificate
    • An asset evaluation report from a CA
    • Fixed Deposits
    • Property Investments & Other Investments

     

    Supporting Documents as per your occupation or type of visit:

     
    • If the applicant is self-employed:
      • Business Registration License / GST / MOA / Partnership deed
      • Company’s updated bank statement of last 6 months
      • Company’s IT returns for last 3 years
    • If the applicant is employed in a firm:
      • Leave sanctioned certificate with company seal and signature
      • Last 3 months salary slip
    • If the applicant is a student:
      • Leave sanction letter, school ID card and NOC from school mentioning the dates of the trip
    • If the applicant is retired:
      • Proof of retirement like pension book, statement etc.
    • If the applicant is under 18:
      • Birth Certificate
      • No Objection Certificate from the parents / non-accompanying parent on Rs 100/- stamp paper
      • ID proof of parent
    • If visiting friend or relative & being sponsored:
      • Invitation letter legalized from the town hall
      • Inviter’s ID proof like Passport, Resident Permit
      • Financial proof such as bank statement
    • For Business visa
      • Invitation letter from the host Company includes the purpose of the trip, business details etc.
      • Covering letter from Indian company on company letterhead.

    Note:

    • Covering letter and hotel confirmation will be provided by Travel Comfort if the applicant requires.

    * Stay period and validity can be varied as per embassy discretion.

    * Stay period will be decided by the immigration officer at the time of port of entry.
