Your journey begins in the morning from Dimapur, where you will be picked up from your preferred location whether it’s a hotel, airport, railway station, or bus stand. The drive to Kohima covers about 72 km and takes nearly 3 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening around 5:00 pm, take a leisurely stroll through the local Kohima bazaar where you can explore and witness unique Naga food items such as fresh vegetables, exotic insects, and varieties of fish. This cultural introduction sets the tone for your Naga experience. Return to your hotel by 7:00 pm for dinner and an overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast around 8:30 am, start your day with a visit to the Kohima War Cemetery, a memorial dedicated to soldiers of the Allied Forces who fought during World War II. Continue towards the Cathedral Church of Kohima, an important landmark known for its distinct architecture, before stopping by the State Sale Emporium to discover local handicrafts and souvenirs. Around 12:30 pm, return to your hotel or a local restaurant for lunch. By 2:00 pm, head towards Jakhama village where you will get a close experience of Angami tribal life while walking through the village lanes. Later at 4:30 pm, visit the Kisama Heritage Complex, the site where the Hornbill Festival is celebrated annually, to witness traditional houses and cultural displays. Return to your hotel by 7:00 pm for an overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast around 8:00 am, you will either proceed to Touphema village (45 km, approx. 1 hr 15 min drive) or Khonoma village (20 km, approx. 1 hr drive). At Touphema, explore the Angami tribal lifestyle, walk through the museum, and visit the Touphema Village Resort run by the local community.

You choose Khonoma, enjoy a guided walk through the beautiful green village, see the ceremonial gates, morungs, and meet skilled local craftsmen. Known as Asia’s first green village, Khonoma also has a rich legacy of ecological conservation and warrior history. Spend the afternoon soaking in the village’s charm before heading back to Kohima by 5:00 pm. Evening free at leisure, overnight stay in Kohima.
Check out after breakfast at 8:00 am and begin your scenic drive to Imphal, covering about 136 km in approximately 5–6 hours. On arrival around 2:00 pm, check into your hotel and freshen up. In the late afternoon at 4:00 pm, visit the historic Shri Govindajee Temple, one of the most prominent Vaishnavite temples in Manipur. Afterwards, explore the Manipur State Museum which showcases tribal culture, artifacts, and history of the region. In the evening around 6:00 pm, walk through Khwairamband Bazaar, famously run by mothers and women traders, offering a vibrant atmosphere of local products and crafts. Return to your hotel by 8:00 pm for dinner and an overnight stay in Imphal.
After breakfast at 8:30 am, begin the day with a visit to the Zoological Garden and then the Khonghampat Orchidarium, which houses hundreds of orchid varieties. Around 11:00 am, drive 45 km to Moirang, the historic site linked to the INA and the Manipuri kings. En route, stop at the Sadu Chiru waterfall for a refreshing natural experience and the Japanese War Memorial that narrates tales of World War II. By early afternoon, explore the famous Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world’s only floating national park, home to the rare Sangai deer. Continue to Loktak Lake and Sendra Island by 3:00 pm, where the floating phumdis and breathtaking views create a perfect photo stop. Spend your evening enjoying the serene surroundings before returning to Imphal by 6:30 pm. Dinner and overnight stay in Imphal.
After breakfast at 8:00 am, check out from your hotel. The morning is free for leisure activities or last-minute shopping around Imphal. Depending on your departure schedule, you will be transferred to the airport, railway station, or bus stand for your onward journey with fond memories of Nagaland and Manipur.
