Later in the day, enjoy a scenic drive along Upper Lake and VIP Road, watching the sunset paint the waters golden. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Bhopal.
After breakfast, drive to Bhimbetka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the prehistoric caves adorned with rock paintings dating back over 30,000 years. Around noon, continue to Bhojeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its colossal Shiva Linga. After breakfast, check out and embark on a scenic drive to Khajuraho, a UNESCO-listed site known for its world-famous temple architecture. Arrive by late afternoon and relax at your hotel. In the evening, attend the Light & Sound Show at the temple complex that narrates the legends of the Chandela dynasty. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.
After breakfast, explore the Western Group of Temples, including the exquisite Kandariya Mahadeo, Chausath Yogini, Chitragupta, Vishwanath, and Lakshmana Temples—each a masterpiece of intricate carvings and artistry. After lunch, visit the Eastern Group of Temples, including Brahma, Vamana, and Javari Temples, known for their detailed sculptures and ornate gateways. After breakfast, check out and enjoy leisure time exploring Orchha’s vibrant markets or revisiting small temples by the river. Later, you’ll be transferred to Gwalior Airport (3 hrs) or Jhansi Railway Station (40 mins) for your onward journey, concluding your heritage-filled tour of Madhya Pradesh.
