5 Days / 4 Nights – FIT Tour
Check in and relax to acclimatize. By 3:00 PM, head to Shanti Stupa, a white-domed landmark with sweeping views over Leh and the snow-lined Stok Range. Continue to the 17th-century Leh Palace to explore rustic corridors and balconies framing golden-hour vistas. As lights flicker on, wander Leh Market for pashmina, prayer flags, apricot products, and warm momos. Keep the evening light—hydrate, avoid alcohol, and sleep early for altitude comfort. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, drive west into the Sham Valley. Explore Alchi Monastery—a 1,000-year-old gem famed for Kashmiri-style murals—then visit hilltop Likir Monastery with its towering Maitreya statue. Pause at the dramatic Indus–Zanskar Sangam, then continue to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib for a serene moment. Experience the optical illusion at Magnetic Hill, photograph the ruins of Basgo Palace, and end at the moving Hall of Fame museum. Return to Leh by evening for dinner and restful overnight stay.
Fuel up and drive to legendary Khardung La (18,380–18,832 ft approx.), where prayer flags flutter against rugged summits—keep stops brief in thin air. Descend to Leh for lunch, then continue to Stok: visit Stok Palace & Museum to see royal thangkas, crowns, and traditional attire. Time permitting, make a contemplative stop by the Indus (Singhu) riverbank. Return to the hotel for dinner. Evening free for cafés or a gentle market walk; overnight in Leh.
Start early for Pangong Tso, cresting Chang-La Pass (~17,586–18,000 ft) amid snow walls and fluttering flags. Arrive at Pangong Lake by late morning to find its famous color-shifting blues backed by the Chang Chenmo mountains. Stroll the shore near Spangmik, photograph mirror-calm sections, spot marmots (in season), and enjoy hot lunch at lakeside cafés (direct pay). Begin return by mid-afternoon along the same scenic route, reaching Leh by early evening for dinner and a cozy overnight.
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a last stroll for apricot kernels, hand-loomed woolens, or prayer flags. Our representative transfers you to Leh Airport for onward travel. Carry home crisp mountain light, monastery chants, and the unforgettable hues of Pangong—a compact Ladakh journey perfectly balanced between culture and high-altitude wonder.
Best time: May–September for open passes and clear skies; nights remain cold.
Altitude tips: Rest on Day 1, hydrate well, avoid alcohol/smoking, eat light. Report persistent headache, nausea, or breathlessness promptly.
Clothing & gear: Thermal base, fleece, windproof jacket; beanie, gloves, UV sunglasses, SPF 50+, lip balm; sturdy shoes; reusable bottle and small daypack.
Road reality: Mountain roads are winding and convoy-dependent—timings may vary. Keep cash for remote cafés; networks can be patchy beyond Leh.

Yes—Day 1 is deliberately light, and Day 2’s valley loop helps acclimatization before higher passes. Hydrate well, avoid alcohol, eat light, and rest early. If you’ve had altitude issues before, consult your doctor and consider adding a buffer day.
In summer, yes. Expect ~5.5–6 hours each way with brief stops at Chang-La and viewpoints. Start by 6:00 AM, keep lunches simple, and limit high-pass halts. If you want sunrise/sunset hues, plan an overnight at Pangong.
Mobile networks work best in Leh; outside, they’re patchy. Postpaid SIMs fare better. Many cafés prefer cash—carry small notes for restrooms and roadside stalls. ATMs are mostly in Leh; withdraw before day trips.
Bring UV sunglasses, SPF 50+, cap/hat, lip balm, moisturizer, thermal base layers, a fleece, and a windproof jacket, plus gloves and a beanie for mornings/evenings. Sturdy shoes, a refillable bottle, ORS, and a light daypack keep you comfortable on long drives.
