Enjoy the scenic drive through Assamese villages and tea gardens. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel or resort and relax. The evening is free to unwind amidst nature or enjoy a cultural performance if available. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Rise early for an exciting elephant safari through the grasslands of Kaziranga National Park, giving you an up-close encounter with rhinos, elephants, and deer. Return for breakfast and relax at your resort. In the afternoon, set out again for a jeep safari through another zone of the park, ideal for spotting wild buffalo, swamp deer, and migratory birds. Capture stunning photographs of this biodiverse paradise before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive towards Shillong (4,900 ft), often called the “Scotland of the East.” En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake, surrounded by pine-clad hills—perfect for photos and boating. Continue your journey through misty valleys and arrive in Shillong by afternoon. Check into your hotel and relax for the evening or stroll through Police Bazaar for shopping and local cuisine. After breakfast, head to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft), one of the wettest places on earth. Visit the stunning Nohkalikai Falls, one of India’s tallest plunge waterfalls, and explore the fascinating Mawsmai Cave, famous for its limestone formations. Post lunch, return to Shillong, stopping at the beautiful Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city and valleys below. Arrive back by evening and rest. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your drive back to Guwahati. Depending on your departure schedule, you may stop for last-minute shopping or snacks en route. Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable Kaziranga–Meghalaya adventure.
