8 Days / 7 Nights – FIT Tour
Arrive at Delhi Airport/Railway Station and drive to Haridwar, entering the foothills and the spiritual heartland of Uttarakhand. Check in and, time permitting, visit Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi, and Daksha Mahadev. As dusk falls, experience the soul-stirring Ganga Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri, where lamps drift on the river to rhythmic chants. Capture serene moments on the ghats before returning to the hotel. Use the evening to organize essentials for the hill journey ahead. Overnight in Haridwar.
After breakfast, drive via Moolgarh and Lambgaon, tracing the jade waters of the Mandakini from Tilwara towards Guptkashi—the legendary “Hidden Kashi.” En route, admire terraced farms and hanging villages perched above river valleys. On arrival, visit the Ardhnarishwar Temple (time permitting) and check in. Evenings are pleasantly cool; stroll locally and review your Kedarnath plans (trek/heli), keeping warm layers, poncho, and ID handy. Dinner and overnight in Guptkashi.
Post breakfast, drive to Sonprayag and shuttle by local jeep to Gaurikund, the trek base. Ascend 18–19 km (pony/doli at own cost) along mountain streams and cedar-lined paths to reach the sanctum of Kedarnath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Check into simple accommodation and attend the evening Aarti at the Kedarnath Temple, set against the majestic snow peaks. Nights are cold—carry thermals, gloves, and a headlamp. Dinner and overnight in Kedarnath. (Helicopter option available if pre-booked; tickets extra.)
Wake early for morning puja and darshan in the tranquil temple courtyard. After breakfast, begin your descent to Gaurikund/Sonprayag. Reconnect with your driver at the agreed pickup spot (mobile networks can be patchy—allow buffer time). Continue to Guptkashi for a relaxed evening and hot dinner. Today’s downhill walk still taxes the knees—use trekking poles, hydrate well, and keep your rain jacket handy. Overnight in Guptkashi.
After breakfast, a scenic trans-Himalayan drive leads to Badrinath. Check in and purify with a ritual dip in Tapt Kund before darshan of Badri Vishal. Explore nearby attractions: Mana Village (last Indian village), Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Charan Paduka, Bhim Pul, and the visible Saraswati “mukh.” Attend the evening Aarti as bells and chants echo across the valley. Nights are nippy (8–18°C in season)—keep woollens ready. Overnight in Badrinath.
Enjoy an optional early darshan, then proceed to Joshimath to visit the revered Narsingh Temple, the winter seat of Badrinath. Continue down the Alaknanda valley to Rudraprayag, famed for the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini. Check in and unwind by the riverside ambience. If time allows, take a gentle walk to the sangam viewpoint for photos and reflection on the Do Dham blessings received. Dinner and overnight in Rudraprayag.
After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital nestled along the Ganga. Visit Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, soaking in views of temple spires and ashrams lining the river. Continue to Haridwar (or stay overnight in Rishikesh/Haridwar as per plan) and check in. Spend the evening on the ghats or explore local markets for rudraksha, spiritual books, and puja samagri. Overnight at Haridwar/Rishikesh.
Savor an unhurried breakfast and begin the drive back to Delhi. Arrive by evening for drop at airport/railway station/hotel/home. Your Do Dham Yatra concludes with cherished darshans, mountain memories, and the serene cadence of the Ganga accompanying your journey back to the plains.
