10 Days / 9 Nights – FIT Tour
Meet at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport/Railway Station and drive via Mussoorie. En route, pause at Mussoorie Lake and the famed Kempty Falls (recommended lunch stop). Continue to Barkot, check in, and unwind—use the evening to sort essentials for your Yamunotri trek. Barkot’s summer days are pleasant (25–30°C) with cool nights. Stroll near your stay or simply rest to acclimatize. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Barkot, preparing mind and kit for tomorrow’s spiritual ascent into the Garhwal hills.
After an early drive to Janki Chatti/Phoolchatti, begin the 6 km trek (pony/doli available at own cost) through forests of conifers and rhododendrons. At Yamunotri, bathe at Jamunabai Kund, offer prayers at Divya Shila, and cook rice in Surya Kund as blessed prasad. Seek blessings of Maa Yamuna at the 19th-century Yamunotri Temple. Descend to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot for dinner and overnight. Expect cool conditions at the shrine (10–18°C in summer)—carry light woollens, water, and rain protection.
Post breakfast, a scenic drive brings you to Uttarkashi, the “Kashi of the North,” set on the Bhagirathi. Check in and visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Shakti Temple with its towering Trishul; optional stop at Nag Devta. Evenings here are peaceful—ideal for riverside contemplation or a gentle town walk. Weather is warmer by day (30–35°C in summer) yet pleasantly cool at night. Return to the hotel for dinner. Prepare for tomorrow’s early start to the high, pine-scented valleys leading to Gangotri.
Leave early with packed breakfast. Halt at Garam Kund (Gangnani) for a warm dip, then wind through the postcard-pretty Harsil Valley to Gangotri. Take a holy bath in the Bhagirathi and offer prayers at the 18th-century Gangotri Temple built by Amar Singh Thapa; visit the Kedar Ganga Sangam if time permits. Soak in tranquil deodar groves and glacier-fed vistas before driving back to Uttarkashi by evening. Nights can be crisp at altitude—carry a light jacket. Dinner and overnight in Uttarkashi.
After breakfast, depart via Moolgarh and Lambgaon, tracing the lively Mandakini River from Tilwara towards Guptkashi—mythic “Hidden Kashi,” where Lord Shiva is believed to have concealed himself before granting darshan at Kedarnath. On arrival, visit Ardhnarishwar Temple (time permitting), then check in and relax. Evenings are pleasantly cool (25–30°C summer highs). Review tomorrow’s trek/helicopter timings, keep essentials handy, and sleep early for a strong start to your Kedarnath day.
After breakfast, drive to Sonprayag and transfer by local jeep to Gaurikund—start point of the Kedarnath trek (approx. 18–19 km; pony/doli at own cost). Ascend along roaring streams and cedar slopes to reach the sacred Kedarnath Temple—one of the 12 Jyotirlingas—set beneath snow-clad peaks. Check in to simple accommodation; attend evening Aarti for an unforgettable spiritual experience. Nights are cold (often near 0–10°C in summer)—carry warm layers, gloves, and a headlamp. Dinner and overnight at Kedarnath.
Rise early for morning puja at Kedarnath. After breakfast, begin the descent to Gaurikund/Sonprayag. Meet your driver at the pre-agreed point (mobile networks are patchy; allow buffer time). Continue to Guptkashi for rest and a hearty dinner. The downhill trek still demands care—use trekking poles and keep rain cover handy. Evening free to recuperate and ready bags for the final Dham tomorrow: the opulent valley of Badrinath along the shimmering Alaknanda.
Drive through dramatic river valleys to holy Badrinath. Check in, then purify with a dip at Tapt Kund before darshan of Lord Badri Vishal. In and around the temple, explore Mana Village (India’s last before Tibet), Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Charan Paduka, Bhim Pul, and the visible “mukh” of the Saraswati. Attend the evening Aarti, soaking in the town’s devotional hum. Weather remains cool (8–18°C); warm layers are essential. Dinner and overnight in Badrinath.
After morning darshan, proceed to Joshimath to visit the revered Narsingh Temple, winter seat of Badrinath. Continue along terraced hillsides to Rudraprayag, famed for the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini. Check in and unwind by the riverside ambience. Summers here are warm by day, cooler by night—ideal for a relaxed walk before dinner. Reflect on the four Dhams completed, their distinct landscapes, and the unity of faith threading them together. Overnight in Rudraprayag.
After breakfast, drive towards Rishikesh, the serene Yoga Capital on the Ganga, surrounded by Shivalik hills. Visit iconic Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula (time permitting) and nearby ghats/ashrams. Continue to Haridwar or opt for Dehradun Airport/Haridwar Railway Station drop as per your departure plan. Your sacred circuit across Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath concludes with blessings, mountain memories, and renewed spirit.
