Itinerary

DAY 01: COLOMBO – CHILAW

Welcome to Colombo. On arrival, meet our representative outside the Airport, who shall guide you to your coach and drive to Chilaw about 3 hrs. Enroute visit Munneswaram Temple. One of the holiest Hindu Temples in Sri Lanka, coming down from the period before Ravana. Later visit Manawari Temple first lingam installed and prayed to by Lord Rama and this lingam is also called Ramalinga Shivan. Check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Chilaw.

DAY 02: CHILAW – TRINCOMALEE

After breakfast, proceed to Trincomalee, which is one of the largest and safest Natural Harbours in the World. It has sunny weather throughout the year, with white sandy beaches, calm, placid and warm waters, ideal for underwater activities and for Whale watching. Visit Koneswaram Temple. Overnight stay in Trincomalee.

DAY 03: TRINCOMALEE – SIGIRIYA – KANDY

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy, en-route visit Sigiriya known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the Palace on the summit of the 600-foot high rock. Then proceed to Kandy, visit Kandy Tooth Relic Temple. Overnight stay in Kandy.

DAY 04: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy, en-route visit to Ramboda Fall and Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple. On these hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi, the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka built a temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity. On every full moon day special pooja”s are conducted and witnessed by thousands of devotees. Later proceed to Nuwara Eliya (Little England of Sri Lanka) is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. Later visit Gayathri peedam temple. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 05: NUWARA ELIYA

After breakfast proceed to the “Sita Amman Kovil” – a quaint little Kovil, with the statues of Rama, Sita, Hanuman, Lakshmana and Sugriva. Later Visit Ashok Vatika & Hakgala Botanical Garden and Divurumpola. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 06: NUWARA ELIYA – COLOMBO

After breakfast, proceed to Colombo. Enroute visit Kelaniya Temple. Later proceed towards Colombo. Drive pass several British built colonial buildings. Enjoy some shopping in Colombo. Later check into the hotel. Overnight stay in Colombo.
